Simon Crowcroft's
Missing Persons File
Have you bumped into any of the following people? Yes, I know it's
a big world but it's getting smaller, innit? Pics, where possible, will
follow when I get another scanner.
William James Crowcroft
My elder brother, last spotted in Weston
super Mare, Avon, England. Age 39. Hair - what's left of it - curly, light
brown or blonde. About 5'11" tall, slim and strong, and handsome, like
me I guess. Fond of travelling. We had a Christmas Card but nothing else
for the past few years.
Message: the fatted calf has
got BSE and may have to be slaughtered before your homecoming.
Malcolm Mackenzie-King
I was sent to boarding school when
I was nine :'''-( The school of my parents choice was Prince Alfred College,
Adelaide, South Australia; the year was 1967. Mac was short, probably still
is, with straight blonde hair but a warped sense of humour. We got on well,
saving each other from the clutches of the perverts in the dormitory -
after lights-out "rooting" (Aus. slang) was their favourite pastime - and
from the slipper or cane of the sadistic housemasters. We lost touch when
my family came back to foggie Englande a year later.
Annie Hall (nee Ann Bramley)
read Keats to me in the summer of 1975,
when I was at Canford School.
Message: I still have the Penguin
Book of Contemporary Verse you gave me with the inscription that I was
too timid or too stupid to respond to.
