Constable greets his own new parishioner

NEW father of the Parish of St Helier Simon Crowcroft has also become a father of a beautiful little girl named Miriam.

Miriam was born by caesarean section yesterday morning to his wife, Angela. Weighing in at 6 lb 13 oz, she immediately won the approval of the couple’s other daughter, Florence (5), who was excited at the prospect of more female support in the family Mr Crowcroft’s other children are sons Orlando (18), Barnaby (16) and Jocelyn (13). He was present at Miriam’s birth at 10 am yesterday and he kept his appointment in the Royal Court today to take the oath as Constable.

Determined to give his family ‘a fair measure of myself’, he also intends starting immediately to get to know parish staff and their expectations.
