Jersey Junior Chamber are the hosts for the 1997 National Conference from 13 to 16 March 1997. Jersey is only 15 miles from the closest point to France and yet retains its English individuality with a French flavour. Although only 9 miles by 5 miles, Jersey has a tremendous amount to see and do. Apart from the miles of golden, sandy beaches, there are cliff top walks with splendid scenery of the other Channel Islands and France, the award winning Jersey Museum, the German Underground Hospital, the Butterfly Farm, Fort Regent, Jersey Goldsmiths, Jersey Pearl and the Jersey Pottery are all renowned attractions. We must not forget the World Famous Wildlife Preservation Trust founded by the late, great Gerald Durrell, where continued good works ensure that endangered species are kept alive and reintroduced to their natural habitat, and of course, hundreds of restaurants where good food and drink abound aplenty.

The full Conference fee is £125.00, but don't forget our slogan "Pay £96 in '96!". Yes, the Conference fee is reduced to only £96.00 if you pay by the end of 1996, almost £30.00 discount! A mere £20.00 deposit secures your place and guarantees you the "cruise of a lifetime".

The hotels & venue

All conference hotels are situated just on the outskirts of St Helier where easy access is afforded by foot to the main shopping precinct to take advantage of the VAT-free shopping. They all have en-suite facilities, indoor swimming pools and leisure facilities.

The Hotel de France is the main Conference Hotel and can easily accommodate all those wishing to attend. The Hotel is renowned for its ability to put on a first class conference and offers 4 star treatment for those staying there.

Alternatively, you may wish to stay at The Mayfair, which is just along the same road as the Conference Hotel. The Mayfair offers excellent value for money and transport will be provided to all the main events.

The Monterey Hotel is opposite the Hotel de France and is a cheaper alternative again with excellent value for money. Early booking is advisable as at the prices quoted the rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
