Another major upgrade is immediately apparent on entering the General
Hospital from Patriotic Street.
The main public entrance, waiting and circulation spaces have been completely
refurbished to provide an improved environment for patients and visitors,
and much forethought has gone into aiding a more streamlined and oriented
approach for outpatients attending the Appointments desks.
Gwyneth Huelin Reception Area
Included in this refurbishment was the relocation of the Reception desk
(pictured above). The whole area also received new flooring and ceilings,
decorations and lighting.
A major project at the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) is, at the time of
writing, in progress. When this work is finished, Jersey will be left
with one of the most modern Units of its size in the world.
