Of course, there is always a wall somewhere which needs repainting. Not
many members of the public will ever walk down this corridor; it is mainly
used for services. However, even those areas which the public do not see
must be kept in shape. These walls were painted relatively recently.
A well-kept Hospital corridor
It is not simply a case of painting straight onto the walls. Firstly,
the handrails must be removed and put out of the way of this often hectic
corridor with trolleys trying to squeeze past each other. Then the walls
need to be prepared properly before the vinyl matt paint is applied. Once
all that is done, the rails need to be replaced. Then it's onto the next
area which needs attention somewhere else in the Hospital.
