Labourers

Clinical waste must be removed from within the Hospital within 24 hours in order to limit the possibility of the spread of disease. Collectors of clinical waste must wear specially made needle-stick gloves to protect them from contaminated blood on stray needles or sharp implements which inadvertently find their way into places they shouldn't be on rare occasions.

More clinical waste bins and bottles
back lane

The picture shows another set of clinical waste bins near Patriotic Street car park.

In the foreground are oxygen bottles which are brought by a driver from the Labour Pool who also takes the empty bottles away. There is also a need to separate and remove a fairly large amount of glass, metal and combustible materials (wood etc.) by lorry on a regular basis.
