Welcome to The National Air Pageant website. You will find details of our aims and learn more about the people behind this ambitious project. The National Air Pageant is leading the national campaign to have the world's last airworthy de Havilland Comet flying in time for the fiftieth anniversary of the first jet passenger service on the 2nd May 2002. Eventually, the Comet - the world's first passenger jet - will be star of a travelling circus that tells the story of Britain's postwar airliners when British endeavour, engineering and innovation ruled the skies.
